Turning 40

As the calendar turned and I marked the beginning of my fourth decade on this Earth, I found myself in a reflective state. Turning 40 is not merely a change in age; it's a profound chapter in the grand story of life, marked by a tapestry woven with threads of faith, gratitude, and divine purpose.

A Testimony to God's Faithfulness

Psalm 139:16 resonates deeply within me: "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." This verse encapsulates the essence of my journey – a journey guided by the divine hand of the Creator. Each step, each turn, and each moment has been a part of His master plan.

Directed Paths and Divine Choreography

Proverbs 16:9 speaks to the heart of our human plans and God's sovereign guidance: "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." How reassuring it is to know that, even in our planning, God orchestrates our journey. The intricate dance of life is choreographed by the One who knows us intimately.

Honored and Humbled

Reaching 40 is not a testament to my strength alone but a testimony of God's unwavering love. Jeremiah 29:11 echoes in my heart: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." My heart swells with gratitude, knowing that His plans for me extend beyond my comprehension.
